Whiney Students
Some days I think I just want to be the student.
I have a student who in the past complained of feeling sick after legs up the wall. So last night it wasn't after legs up the wall but after Setu Bandha Sarvangasana that she said she felt sick. Is there something about this pose that might make one feel sick? And if yes, what should she do different? She may just always need to complain about something.
I did screw up last night when I had a new student join the class. I failed to ask if she had a medical condition I should know about. At the end of the class when she was feeling quite sick I learned she has high blood pressure. (Its is surprising the youngish people with high blood pressure) When she was not feeling well I suggested she rest in Child's Pose. What is the best thing to do with a student until the feeling passes or to make the feeling pass?
