Hey Folks,
Hopefully this is what you had in mind. These message boards are very simple and user-friendly. In order to get us started I thought it might be fun to do a silly facebook-ish type quiz so we can all get accustomed to the forum and get used to posting. Even if you think this is ridiculous I encourage you to post just for the sake of posting.

1. What is your favorite "brand" of yoga?
Iyengar
2. What is your favorite brand of yoga mat?
Manduka. Owned mine for 4 years now with no wear at all.
3. What is your favorite brand of yoga clothes?
Lululemon. Kinda sad, but true. They make good clothes!
4. Do you listen to music while you practice?
Yes - mostly hip-hop, Finnish metal, and Krishna Das.
5. Do you like ACDC?
No. It is very loud and disturbing this otherwise beautiful evening.
6. What is your favorite colour?
Green. Not for the Riders, though. I am a Boston Celtics fan.
7. What is your favorite time to do yoga?
Late in evening after the kids are in bed.
8. What is your favorite food?
Malai Kofta. It is potato dumplings in a creamy sauce.
9. What is your ideal vacation? A week or two in Maui. Nothing like a tropical beach, some decent surf, my family, fresh fruits and veggies, and the sweet smell of Hawaiian flowers.
10. Favorite asana? Tough one. Probably headstand. With shoulderstand coming in a close second. And Bakasana sneaking around as well.

Iyengar, I guess. It's the "brand" I'm most familiar with.

As long as it's sticky I'm happy, although one with twine would be perfect.

Anything cotton that lets me move.
4. Do you listen to music while you practice?
Not usually.
5. Do you like ACDC?
Not my thing.

I like green, blue, and everything in between.

When it happens I like to do yoga in the morning. Realistically, I do more yoga in the evening.

This week it's fresh figs.

A good headstand always makes everything better.

Iyengar but I haven't done much else

Halfmoon but I'm still on the search for the perfect mat for my sweaty hands

I like the stuff from Costco beacuse it's afordable and Lululemon.

sometimes. Either nature sounds or any of the other 'new age' stuff I've downloaded

yep. Listened to the concert from my front step and bedroom. Had no tickets.

Yellow or anything that gives a summer feel like the flowers in my yard
7. What is your favorite time to do yoga?
anytime that I do yoga is my favorite but I don't like it too late at night. Sometimes it keeps me up.

chocolate. But I love any good food. I love finding something new and amazing to eat
9. What is your ideal vacation? a beach, sun, books, something yummy to drink and preferbly someone to cook for me. That could be here or away doesn't matter.
10. Favorite asana? hmmmm agnistambhasana. simple but feels so good.

I am not really sure I like a brand but I do like the mats with jute in them.

Lululemon mostly because I still have my very first pair of pants that I bought from them and I still wear them

Sometimes, usually Krishna Das.

No.

Blue but mostly Mediterranean ocean blue.
7. What is your favorite time to do yoga?

Iyengar is what I practice most - I have yet to officially term it my favorite.
2. What is your favorite brand of yoga mat?
I'm partial to my Halfmoon mat, however Colin's manduka is pretty sweet. I might eventually be converted.

Lululemon is probably the best I've tried, but way too expensive.

Yeah - I dig the funk. There's nothing quite like gettin' down wit yo bad funky yoga self.

No, not unless you play Thunderstruck at the 'shwakk and have to take a drink every time you hear the word "thunder"...then they're great.

Rainbow.

Mid-morning or early afternoon.

Excellent call onthe Malai kofta - so delicious. Another favorite of mine is the Mahattan Transfer.
9. What is your ideal vacation?
I don't know if I have an ideal vacation...there are many places I would like to go.

Mayurasana, even though the full version is not quite there yet and salamba sirsasana.

Hmmm branding yoga.. maybe a mixture between Astanga and Iyengar with a little Kundalini in the mix..... I make up my own brand!

Oh I really want to get the mat that is made with natural fibers.... like Heather's.. I dont know what it is called..
3. What is your favorite brand of yoga clothes?
The clothes that my sewing machine makes.

Sometimes.... Something mellow like Enya..

Not when I am sick and trying to watch a movie and I call hear is ACDC.. I hear all the concerts from my house.

Hmmm Green, green, green... and maybe purple in the mix sometimes.

early morning

Mmmm food.... I love Indian food

Hmmm traveling with my backpack around the world.. maybe a sailboat for a while...

I really like Pinchamurasana.... oops bad spelling... handstand is fun to... I am really into inversions right now!

I have been very happy with my Jade Mat. It is showing some signs of wear but then it doubles as an anti-slip mat for my dog so he doesn't have a freak-out on my floors.

1. I like a style that is intuitive and inner-directed such as Kripalu, Vanda Scaravelli and Kundalini

2. I prefer a hardwood floor over a mat.

3. I agree that the Lululemon really lasts but have found all my stuff lasts longer if you turn it inside out when washing and hang dry.

4. I like to practice to nature sounds... especially running water and birdsong.

5. Not a fan of ACDC!

9. A tropical beach vacation... so far Mexico is my favorite. Although I also really love hiking in the Rockies.
